When I was a teen, I refused to wear braces and if I
think about it, I consider it as a not clear thinking about getting proper
dental care. As I grow older, my teeth become crooked and they have gaps in
between, which make me think more about regretting not to get braces when I was
younger.
Many of us have this kind of dilemma; we understand
that our smile is not what it should be, yet we have enough concern for our
appearance to refrain from wearing braces. For many of us, the issue is not
even about vanity; it is more about lifestyle. Perhaps as an adult you may have
even thought about taking the plunge and getting braces fitted. I’ve considered
it, but the thought of having a mouth full of metal in my thirties is just as
unappealing now as it was when I was thirteen. I am working hard on my career,
and at first impression, I do not want people to see me as a twenty-something.
